Just keep smiling and keep on humouring them and keep agreeing with them and tell them how sorry you are that they are so unhappy,and remember to keep asking yourself how can they go to your boss and complain that you was too nice to them

well dont do what i did in my younger days, curse them out. simply smile and ask if there is a way you can help them resolve the matter and if they continue to be rude and nasty ask them if they wanna speak to a manager, hey thats what they get paid for

Kill 'em with kindness... it usually pisses 'em off more, because they're expecting you to get all rude, so they can go to your Manager or something. It's even more funny watching 'em squirm!
