I noticed that my right front caliper is braking & not the right caliper & this coincided with an ABS light - but no red "brake" light which would seem to indicate a bad proportioning valve, bad circuit in the master cylinder OR frozen front caliper ? Truck has 220K + miles on it .. But runs fantastic except for brake issue. This has caused me to go into a spin on the freeway when I hit my brakes also makes the truck want to change lanes when you stomp on the brake pedal - really pulls ..any ideas would be appreciated .. thanks

VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH ALL FORDS.

THE PISTONS IN THE CALIPERS ARE STICKING THIS IS BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE OUT OF A PRODUCT CALLED PHALLIC WHICH IS NOT STEAL.

REPLACE BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT CALIPERS ALONG WITH NEW BRAKE PADS AND BLEED OUT THE COMPLETE BRAKE SYSTEM.

Pull the tire off on the suspected side. Have someone push on the brake to see if the piston is moving. If the piston does not move crack the bleeder valve and see if fluid gushes out if it does caliper bad if it doesn't master cylinder.
