Please be serious! I'm not in the mood.

Me too (seriously).
First I saw a movie that I really wanted to see.
The good mood ended when it did.
Then I ate one dark chocolate Snickers bar.
It helped until it was gone.
I thought I should exercise a little (because that really does help), but couldn't find the motivation for it and surfed the net instead.
That just made me feel worse.
Then I decided to come here and answer a question like this for someone in a similar mood.

And I'm actually starting to feel better.

So, other ideas:
Read something like The Catcher in the Rye (my favorite) or a book that is its opposite (positive and not cynical)

Listen to some really good depressing songs (if that makes any sense) or something uplifting - whatever works for you.

Go for a nice, long walk or jog (I have yet to do this more often, but I know it works).

Write your thoughts down until you feel better.

Do something that you enjoy that's peaceful and relaxing (I like being by water, painting, attempting to meditate...etc.)

Answer a yahoo question well (make sure it's a subject you're good at or know a lot about - being chosen as best by some stranger is the best mood booster, especially when you're feeling bad).

Don't give up...you'll get through it.

:)

Just put the past behind you. Keep telling yourself that you really are blessed, and know that your day can turn around if you just start thinking positive. Completely stop thinking about the bad things, just the good things that are to come. Something that helps is smiling, no matter how much you don't want to, hold your chin up and smile, you will fee better, for when you do your body sends endorphins to your brain. Just think happy. Do something you like, a hobby or someting of the sort. You are blessed, remember that.

I hate being in those moods!!! This sounds silly but try it....Go look in the mirror and force yourself to smile for a few seconds. Make sure it's a big goofy smile too. If that doesn't work, put on your favorite song and sing a long. Singing helps improve your mood drastically! Feel better!

I think it's the full moon. I'm not my typical self either.

Yoga has the "Down Dog" which triggers your "Ego" into place. Basically, you're standing on your hands (arms straight out) and legs (legs straigt out). This should form a triangle. So, if u'r not used to this do it for 1 minute ... slowly lie flat on tummy (from position) for a minute ... then repeat 5-6 times.

You can also do the child's pose to correct "Ego". Sit Japanese and lower head to floor. You can stay here for 15 minutes.

Basically, if your head is below your butt ... your Ego will fall in line.

Watch comedy. Nothing gets me out of a bad mood unless I have a great comedy and a BOTTLE of wine.

If you have children, hug them and tell them you love them.

If you have a husband, hug him and tell him that you love him.

If you like to run, put on your ipod and run like the dickens.

Get your fav.food delivered.

Curl up in the couch with a great book.

Whatever you, include the bottle of wine.

Cheers!
