I want to get a tattoo that represents the existential views I have but I can't think of anything that symbolizes the philosophy (considering how non-dogmatic it is). I was thinking of Sisyphus as a possibilities, but I can't think of how to exactly translate his image into a tattoo.

Any ideas on how to make a tattoo representative of existentialism (ie, symbols, images, quotes, etc.).

How's this: have a rectangle tattooed on your forearm, say 3" by 5". When people question it, say that it contains a flesh-colored tattoo of the portion of the arm within the box. Point to a small scar, a freckle, or some minor imperfection, and let the observer marvel at how the artist captured everything so precisely.

You will have your little existential joke, and at the same time will know that your "body art" says "I am this" better than anything else possibly could.

The first and perhaps the best existential tattoo that comes to mind is the old age of modern drama. Second choice: the terror and absurdity of the human existence.

Get a Tattoo of a Monkey sitting on a Park Bench, with a copy of Darwin's Theory and a Bible ....... trying to figure out whether he is his Brother's Keeper or his Keeper's Brother ...

All the images of Sisyphus online were very similar. They all showed a man pushing the boulder up hill -what he was assigned to do for eternity. Some showed a closeup, which I thought lent themselves to interesting art, and thus tattoos. Others showed very muscular men.
