My internet provider took out an automated payment. They themselves agree that I have never set up automated payments, though I have made online payments, which is how they have my info. Now I owe the bank insuficient funds fee and the provider will not pay up. Can I do anything about it? Is it worth it?

Serious answer will be appreciated.

I would definitely file a complaint and change your payment info on line so that doesn't happen again. Also tell your bank that you did not authorize this charge and request a chargeback, this will double the fee to the company and they will have to pay you and your bank the money back. Call the company and tell them you are going to request a charge back from your bank, they may agree to refund your money over the phone.

Go and talk to the branch manager and explain the situation, if you are in good standing and have not over dawn in the last year they will more than likely remove the overdraft charge

do the calculation; let say if you're really dealing with huge amount of money and paying for attorney, and court expenses would be just small percentage from witch you're dealing with, then I would say yes.
