What if all the money from war, etc went to developing disease / drought resistant crops that could be used as food or alternate fuel source? If we didn't "need" petroleum products, would there be the same urge for war? If people weren't hungry, wouldn't life be better for all of us?

helping the homeless find shelter, jobs, and showing them that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.its a long shot, but likeyou pointed out we as a couuntry pinch pennies and there are dollar bills flying away ecerywhere. it would take lots of planning, and we would have to work the bugs out (the problems and issues that come up) as we go
