Okay so i need a new car. And i've been looking around and i found this Chevy Cavalier. It looks real nice. but it needs a new transmission. and some new "Freeze" or something to do with the A/C. it says it has 157,000 miles but he says thats wrong and has only a lil over 100,000. but i was wondering if it would be worth it. to buy the car for like 3000$ and then just get a new transmission and what else.

So i was wondering what it would need. in order to make it last maybe like 100,000 more miles.. like new engine? new what? thanks

i would go find a different car. if it need a transmission and the mileage is wrong then you don't know how many miles are on it. also it will cost you a 1000 or more for a new transmission. i wouldn't buy it!!!

Never buy a K car with that many miles waste of money, too much to keep it running, and if he's doubting the milage it's also a salvaged title, car is probably worth $300.00 not $3K, look for something else...

properly, i'm optimistic we the two understand the outdated asserting that money talks and each and each of something walks. for a used vehicle for reliability, non-family individuals, this could be hands down toyota or honda. yet is paying the top classification for a sixteen y.o. boy somewhat honestly worth the dividends. it is all too based on the way he drives and cares for, or abuses, his holiday. in my view, i could placed him an older Caprice or Crown Vic for various motives, and permit him concern in regards to the gas bill. Teaches responsibilty, quite with money. in spite of the undeniable fact that, if he's effortless to be the exception to the guideline, and wont bend to verify tension, then the unique plan of Honda or Toyota makes suitable experience, as they'll maintain abit of their value if cared for and can be consumer-friendly to sell whilst it's time to enhance. via the way, a carfax is usually a sturdy concept on any used vehicle, till its in basic terms some outdated $200 door slammer, no longer what you indicated as searching for.
