There's always that inevitable mother and child bond that is so strong...I always feel I love my mum a bit more than my dad. I feel mothers and their children are more strongly connected than fathers and their children, because mothers carried their children in their wombs...As a mother, you'd feel your own child and know your own child before anyone else does.

Your thoughts on this?

ps. I hope I make sense :).

Yes, for some reason I feel the same way. I guess it's because your mother was the one that gave birth to you, and fed you when you were a baby. I find it quite strange, but the mother and child bond always seems to be stronger than the father and child bond. But they are both still your parents and you gotta love them for raising you! :)

I am much closer to my Mom but I love them equally, atleast I like to think so. For the most part this is true but I do know some terrible mothers out there and you have to be a pretty f**ked up Mom to not have some sort of bond with your children.

No I think that the same amount of love because a good man as a father can connect just as strongly in different ways. My fiance has been everything to my kids that their father has no clue of. He walked my daughter down the aisle and I know if something ever happened to me They will be safe and secure with him. A good father is a good man no matter if its by blood or love and compassion

I have always been closer to my mother than to my father.

My father never really liked me, and has gone as far as to tell me that on numerous occasions.

Even back when I was a child, I would always seek advise from my mother before ever even thinking about going to my father.

I am secure enough in my masculinity to say I am just a big old Mommas-Boy!!! I love my mother, and I always will!

I tried very hard not to show a preference for my parents. The truth of the matter is that I was much closer to my Mom than my Dad. I believe that some of us never really sever the umbilical cord, and are tied to our Mothers forever.

I agree with most of what you say here but there are many times that the father is loved more by one or more of the children. This usually happens between a father and his daughter. The old daddies little girl thing.

i believe that mothers and their children are always connected, literally, my son was in a car accident, and the day it happened my legs and hips were hurting so bad and it couldn't be explained. that night when i saw him i knew why, because his hips were crushed and both legs were broken. a week later he passed away and right before the doctor came out and told us i took in a deep breathe and exhaled slowly, so i believe that i took his last breathe with him just like i gave him his first breathe. and he had also told me about two weeks before the accident that he loved me more than his dad and he loved his dad. what a gift!

I am connected with my mom more than my father... As for my kids my daughter is more connected to her father and my 2 boys are more connected with me. Also I went to work 1 month after my daughter was born and never had a chance to bond with her my hubby stayed home... with my boys I have been home with them from day one....

I always loved my dad more than my mom (sorry mom, love you a ton, but if I have to pick...) because we are so much alike. We have the same sense of humor and we're a little more sensitive. My mom and my little sis are exactly alike and they get along better.
