i know you aren't really laughing out loud. and even if you were, at what point during a normal conversation would you actually say 'laugh out loud'? its so effing retarded!
seriously. whenever somebody types lol, i immediately assume they have an IQ of 35.

was it a web site? was "omg, what color is the sky? lol!" one of the questions? that might not be the most accurate test.

It does annoy me. And sometimes people say it for no reason.
Example: "My uncle died.....LOL!"
"I have to go to the bathroom....LOL!"
I say it sometimes but not always. And it really ticks me off.
