Would you have a relationship with a younger man, say less than 45 ? Not an illicit affair or a one night stand but a legit relationship that might end up an intimate relationship? Why or why not ?

* I have a cousin who had a much younger husband. They were married 17 years ago and she is now 58.
At the time they were married it looked ok.
Now ....??? It looks awkward.
She looks like his mother, the wrinkles the droopy looking face.....??
He is about 45. He looks young.
So, the answer is no!!

** I just have a visit from 2 cousins who live in different town and whose husbands passed away some years ago. (mine too).
The visit just for fun and have a chat .
One topic aroused was about re marry or having serious partner.
The 3 of us have same opinion :
If the guy is younger we cant keep up
If he is older ---> we baby sit
If about the same age ------> we argue and may even fight about peanuts
The worst thing ----> we cant talk about our late husband.

So, the answer here is another : NO for me.

I think the only people that think about age are the young, 0 to about 18, and women who are concerned about their biological clock. I can't think of why anyone else would concern themselves with age. My daughter recently married a man 10 years younger than herself. A damn good idea I say! I never think about age, if you like someone it's for something else other than how old or young they are. I don't think age should come into it unless they are in their teens..

Ummm, I could be friends but I think 45 and below is just a little too young for me. Mentally, I am young but physically, I probably couldn't keep up. Not much of a night owl either.

I prefer no more than 5 years minimum and 7 years maximum between us.

you are asking if we would marry a man more than 10 years younger than we, I am married to a man 14 years younger than me, at some point I will be 55. He says he's having fun

This is from a guy...believe it or not, there are many, many men who prefer seriously older gals...that is their nature. My younger son (now 38) lived with a woman old enough to date me (there was a 20 year difference in their age) and they were happy as could be...until SHE kicked him out because he could not control his drinking. But they had a great time for 7 years...she referred to him as her "boy toy." And no, she did not support him in any way. I suspect he will miss her for a very long time. At first, he was more than worried to tell me that they were a couple..my reaction was, "why not?"

Love, for me is not based on a number but upon a mutual compatibility. I would not put an age limit on myself -- either younger or older, if I were single. (Although, when I was single, I DID have an upper age limit of 30. Silly me.)

Honestly, I consider 5 years either way. I really wouldn't enjoy going out with someone, that was many years younger, there's just too many young women out there, for them to find., and they should.

Passably. A lot would depend on the guy and the friendship and companionship would have to be there before the relationship.

Not for me no.

I have thought about it because of other's questions on here, and I decided that I need the commonality of a man friend who is within ten years of me in age.

If you don't have anything more than sex, then what do you do after the sex is over?

Yes I would why not. I would if the man interested me. After you hit mid forties there is not much of a visual difference.
