The difference between the abridged and the unabridged is that the abridged does not have Hugo's ideas about politics and the working classes. That is the problem that I have had reading the unabriged version. The abridged version is a lot easier to read and you should finish it in about 3 weeks and you will not lose much of the story. It took me almost a year to read the unabridged version

I believe there is an abridged version which is only 325 pages long and I read it in a week, reading about an hour a night before going to bed. It would depend on your speed of reading and whether you are committed.

The version I read had about 1200 pages so I doubt it. It depends on how much free time you have, but it's definitely not a book you want to rush through. If you have to read something for a school project I'd pick something shorter if I were you.

whilst you're conversing in regards to the national excursion - circulate! I observed the teach on Broadway whilst a chum became interior the unique solid, so i became fortunate adequate to get homestead seats (for unfastened). yet i could have spent despite tickets value back then to verify this magnificent teach. it is Victor Hugo's masterpiece set to hovering song. The national excursion could have the unique Broadway units, costumes, lights, etc. -- to declare no longer something of appropriate-high quality actors. it is somewhat worth each penny. get excitement from - yet deliver your handkerchief - no one sees the teach without laying off some tears.

If you are interested in the read, yes! If it bores you, then, no way!
