You just answered your own question by cleverly tricking your mind into thinking "unbeknowingly" is a actual word. . . .
A-a-h-h, the subconscious mind moves in mysterious ways its miracles to perform ! :-)

Yes there have been documented cases of women calming to be pregnant, having all of the symptoms of pregnancy and even positive pregnancy tests done by doctors, It wasn't until a sonogram was done that the womb was found to be empty. It's not a usual occurrence but you're mind is very capable of believing anything it wants to bad enough. Some times for reasons that aren't really understood yet, People convince them self's of things that aren't true because they have to believe it bad enough. The mind is capable of doing great things both to protect us and to shield us and some times our minds are used to fool us into things that we want even if they aren't what is good for us.

i have a neighbor who thought she was pregnant. she believed it sooo much that her body actually reponded to being pregnant. in the end she wasnt pregnant. it was her mind playing trick's on her.
i use to call in to work sick once in a while. i would fake it so badley that in the coarse of the day i would actually start to feel sick.
when the mind work's over time say if someone is going through some kind of tramatic experience. there mind can be so consummed with it that they make them selves sick.

Your question is giving me a reason to be concerned. It sounds like you are worried about something and you may be trying to convince yourself that it isn't happening or you may be suffering from stress.
If that is the case, do try and seek help before this situation gets worse.

YES you can, even if you know something is the truth, you still may ask yourself, wait? what REALLY happened. I would say that something is wrong and you need to see a psychologist because you could have a number of disorders.

This is just imagination or day dreaming. If you repeatedly tell any thing loudly several times(many hundreds or even thousand) the mind will take it as true.

Yes, if it's subconcsiously. I guess it happens a lot, especially if you're worried about something.
