I have a daughter named Miranda, we call her Mandy (although now that she is 9, she prefers her full given name).
I have only known four other Miranda's-one I just recently learned was named Miranda, they always called her Midge. We chose Miranda because it was a combination of my and my husband's names (Mary and Randal).
We are currently expecting another daughter, and her name is going to be Gwendalyn.
Gwendalyn is Welsh, and is derived from the name Guinevere (which Jennifer is also derived from). I know one other Gwendalyn.
My husband liked the name Wendy, but I wanted her to have a more formal name so we decided on Gwendalyn. I have affectionately nicknamed her "Gwendy".
We also considered Candace and Malinda for this baby, but they remain on our list for future daughters!

I really like the name Daria(Dare ya). i have only met one person with that name and i think it is both unique and pretty. Also the name Faith or Adell. But Daria is my favorite.

nicoletta. this is just one that i happen to fancy. a friend of mine name her daughter isabella. a very beautiful name as well. if you do not like these, i would suggest going to a search site and looking up french, italian and spanish names. they have some very beautiful, unique names.
