No, that was part of the purpose of writing a forward. Her epilogue, she felt, took care of the future. But she is perfectly willing to give up information that people want to know. That is why she has been doing interviews non-stop. Such as admitting that:
Harry and Ron enter the Auror department and completely revolutionize the ministry. Harry becomes the head of the department eventually.
Hermione works for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and is high up.
Luna becomes a naturalist, She realizes that some of what she believed before was fake, but goes traveling the world in search of new creatures.
She has already said that an encyclopedia of sorts should come in the future. She will even include in the encyclopedia all the extra information from her notes that never made it into the book.
Most fans would love to have more books, but who would they be about. Unless a new dark wizard comes to power, whos story is as dark and secretive as Voldemort's it will be dissapointing. And even then, the story will never match the complexity and genius that the ucurrent one has.

7 books about Harry Potter's life? No. BUT J.K. Rowling has just stated that she MIGHT come out with a Potter Encyclopedia to go into further details about characters that she couldn't go over in the Potter books. For example, Dean Thomas and if his father was a Wizard or not.

There will be no 8th Harry potter book.
J.K. was certain that there would be seven books from the very beginning. Besides, in the final book she solved everything out and everything's clear now, and voldemort and his follower's are gone. It would be like stretching it beyond limits, don't you think?
Anyway, J.K. said she will write a Harry Potter encyclopedia. She assured that everything fans want to know will be there, but she's not "doing in tomorrow", as she said, but someday- surely.

Rowling has enough money, she doesn't NEED to write another book. Also, she's made it clear that she's not one to go purposefully seeking fame.
Perhaps she'll write another companion book of sorts, like "Quidditch through the Ages" and "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," but I doubt she'll succumb to either wealth or the wishes of fans and write another book. She always says these books are written mainly for her.
I know Rowling could do a great job (as always) if she wrote a sequel, but remember that this was a planned series, so nothing after the 7th book would contain all the intricate plot details, references, and foreshadowing from previous books that we've all grown to love in this series.
I'm sure she'll start something else, something completely different, but just as good.

I liked the ending of the seventh but i would of liked to find out if Harry even became an auror and other stuff like that. I don't know how another book would be because i don't see what she could write it on... even if she explains other stuff that we didn't hear about in the end like Harry being an auror. I also loved the Harry Potter books since the first one came out so i know how you feel =P

Due to leaving the possibility of a return of voldemort open at the end it is possible. the so called ends are hardly tied up!!!
She is a good author and left some things open so if the desire arises another book can follow
If the strong possibility of making money is there it is also probable although the children of the potter characters will probabally take center stage
and it may not be titled Harry potter and.........

As far as I know, J.K. Rowling has mentioned that there will be no more books after the 7th, since it arrives at a definite closure. However, I do not believe that this will stop the fans from expanding the great amount of fanfiction that already exists today. While the characters of the author will essentially be frozen at the point at which Deathly Hallows ends - off-cannon stories will go on.

J K Rowling has said that she has an idea for a children's book, and an idea for a book not for children, and she will write one of those. She may write side books to Harry Potter to clear up some of the facts of his world, but she has finished with the series.

I doubt it. JKR has no reason to ever write again, except for the love of writing, and she has successfully brought Harry to the end of his odyssey. I think she feels he deserves to rest there; This is Harry’s victory, this is what he has won – not power or glory, but a normal, happy family life – the one thing Voldemort stole from him at the start of his story.
But there is potential, certainly. The elder wand will only lose it's power if Harry dies and natural death, so there is the seed of a plot there , if some evil wizard decides to try and kill him! And of course, we now have a new generation at Hogwarts.
Maybe this is where fan-fiction can take over. The adventures of Rosie Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy??? Maybe I'll have a crack myself!
