no because after one lie u have to lie again to cover the previous lie. u just keep lying and lying and not going anywhere. better to tell the truth and get the punishment u deserve. if u didnt wanna get in trouble u would have done with the right thing in the first place!

If it's gonna keep you out of major trouble [like landing in jail] AND you're very good at telling lies, as long as you don't harm or blame an innocent person, I'd say GO FOR IT! But, if it's something like the lie your gf told you about catching gonorrhea while trying on underwear at WalMart, then it's not worth the time or trouble.

If you know what you're doing, yes. However, when you put the blame on someone else instead of saying "I don't know who did it", then you'd be better off telling the truth. You have to be smart about lying - two or three and you'll lose someone's trust, so if you pick your spots, it's ok.
