I am sick of seeing celebrities get a small slap on the wrist for breaking the law. Paris with her measly 23 days in jail, Lindsey Lohan's crap and now Nicole Ritchie gets 4 DAYS for driving under the influence of drugs. She was on the wrong side of the highway cuz she was so high for crying out loud. What is this teaching our youth??!? Who can we write to protest this bulls**t? Does anyone know?

It just goes to show that money CAN buy anything... including freedom.

This answer cracks me up. The asker is clearly unaware of what normal sentences are for the crimes mentioned. It almost seems as if she believes celebrities should get harsher sentences than the general public.

I'm not suggesting that she should be aware of what normal sentences are... I just think it's illogical to go on a rant about something that one knows nothing about.

I can only attribute this to petty jealousy... what else could it be?

Do yourself a favor and don't go on any sort of letter writing campaign until you educate yourself on the matter.

Write to your congresspeople. Pure and simple. Just write to each and every one of them in your state legislature. By the way, if it was Nicole Ritchie's first offense (and I honestly don't pay enough attention to know) then she got a very strict sentence in most jurisdictions for a first time DUI.

I agree, i think they are just entertainers so they should have to follow the law too. Money can buy freedom but they still have live with what they've done. Money cannot buy a free conscience.

Money talks. That's sadly the way it is. And all Judges are different, it's a crap shoot sometimes.

I wish I knew. I am outraged too...I think if one of my daughters did any of these crimes, she would be in serious trouble both with the law and with her parents! This is ridiculous!
