I'm sorry, thats a pretty bad situation to be in.
I guess work if you can. Get health insurance at your work and use that with the surgery.

Why must you live alone after that? anyway, if you don't have money and if you are in USA, you re in big trouble. You can consider coming to India where things are a lot cheaper. Including the surgery.
