bed they made?
If more countries did that would it affect the US longevity there?
Maybe since the US congress wont follow through with what it sold to voters and end this war the american citizens should contact other governments and ask them to abstain from helping America. Maybe that would help the President Bush end his war.

I don't quite get your question but any way here is the picture of global politics in which the US has her arms on: VERYWHERE!!! even your little Singapore. Whatever text book you have studied or been studying on about an America of democracy, capitalism; or Cuba of socialism... are all obsolete. The world has changed so much since WW1, so fast that text books can never keep up with. Now a day the world's most feared power is the US not for its modern military forces but its high tech corporatoracy. It's the one that can bring any countries to its knees. Being said, regardless one wants to say or act smart, he's got to act according to the Washington book or the consequence as you might have seen..., Iraq's strategy to the world's oil and the gulf's commercial stability is 90% more important than your Singapore to the South-east Asian region, so why do you want to see their troops out - Bear in mind that when the worse day has come for oil scare, you might be likely the first one who gets affected not the Americans. As for the US Politics, like or dislike, well wish or ill wish, it's just the only exit you have to follow. Why? don't need to explain the whole thing but it seems to me you have watched the Chinese waring states chronicle tale telling movie "Hero" now let's answer this: why did the assasin not kill the king? The world order now is just like the Middle Kingdom hundreds of years before. to be ruled by one or be ruled by hundreds!!!

They don't want to be more of a target by terrorists than they already are.

Over 50% of Americans don't want the U.S. to leave Iraq (July 2007 poll). Besides only swing voters (people who are independents) changed the election. Most people still voted for their party.

Democrats misled independents into thinking they were going to change things in Iraq. In reality, Democrats in congress can't do very much to change the war in Iraq since the constitution gives presidents full control of the military. Also, if the U.S. did leave Iraq, then Democrats would have nothing to bad mouth the Republican party about in the 2008 elections.

Besides top democrats don't want to leave Iraq. A top liberal senator named Feinstein is a war profiteer. Her husband has a $600 million army contract. "In February, the firm won an army engineering and logistics contract that could bring in $3.1 billion during the next eight years. No, in fact they don't like the instability but there's not much they can do officially except to urge fairness for their side in the Iraq war, the Sunni extremists. Saudi Arabia is also looking forward to more military aid and satellite guided missile technology from the US.

I'm almost positive that Saudi Arabia is hurting more than helping the US in Iraq.

I think we are doing the dirty work for Saudi and the UAE. Once we have free reign of the oil in Iraq, you know Opec will have it's hands in it.
Remember Cheney, and the Bush crime family are all business partners with them.

Kind of makes me want to tell the Saudis to stick it.
Without their participation, Iraq will certainly become an extension of Iran...and we're all screwed..Especially the Saudis.

The Saudis want a Sunni controlled Iraq.

Why should any other country get involved?

The U.S. got themselves into this mess!!

Outside of what Azred said (which I believe is true), economically the war benefits them much more than it does anyone who is fighting it. For instance, if you have a hot dog stand on one corner and another guy has a hot dog stand on another corner, the other guy starts getting the crap beat out of him by some misc. stranger. The customers are too scared to buy hot dogs in the middle of a street fight so they only buy from you. It's economically to your advantage.

Yeah, Bush end this war with a nuke bomb on Iraq and Iran and Syria, Lebanon, N. Korea, Pakistan.

it's because the Iraqi government is mostly shiites and the Saudis are Sunnis.
