9y (y -1) / y -1 =

9y / y - 1 is in simplest form

9y (9y + 1) / y + 1 is in simplest form
81y^2 + 9y / y + 1 is this distributed out

9y as a monomial is in simplest form

0 is in simplest form

If the original equation = 0, then
9y -11 = 0
9y = 11
y = 11/9

9y^2 /( y - 1) + (- 9y) /( y - 1) <-- I think this what you meant
= (9y^2 -9y )/ (y-1)
= 9(y-1)/(y-1)
= 9

You said this problem which to me means one problem.

9y and 0 are certainly not problems; nor are they answers.
