The way you have this question layed out doesn't help!
As written it would 2^(x-3)/x^2
or if it was 2^x / (x ^2 - 7x + 12) - 8 / (x^2 - 7x + 12)
it'd be 2^(x-3)/((x + 4 )*( x - 3 ))

2^x/x^2 - 7x + 12 - 8/x^2 - 7x + 12 =
(2^x - 8)/x^2 - 14x + 24 =
2{[(2^(x-1) - 4]/x^2 - 7x + 12}
