I think this can be a very fun and economical way of letting a woman know that she is loved by her man. Sure the man should buy her nice jewelry on special occasions but, with the dollar store, its the thought that counts. Plus, she doesn't necessarily have to get a trinket, she can get candy bars, craft supplies, or weight loss supplements. There is such a variety and plus women sometimes love surprises.

I think it's a great idea to do for someone with whom you're in a relationship, but it's also a great way to weed out the rif raf while playing the dating game, as well!

I love to spoil my friends, and I love to do silly, little spur of the moment things that are fun, as well. Your idea is a manner by which you can spot the women who are shallow, who have no sense of fun, who are all material, and with whom you might not want to spend a whole lot of time, after all.

If I can't "surprise" my girl by stopping at the local dollar store to buy her a trinket or something silly and have her get a kick out of it....well, she's not the type of woman for me, and it's time to go fishin' again.

It's not being cheap, it's just being playful and having fun. If women don't have a funnybone, then....sayonara!

It would be a surprise, that's for sure. But I wouldn't like it. I mean, yes, she can get those things from a dollar store I suppose. But they are cheap and the thought counts yet there's no thought in taking her to such a store. The 'trinkets' would break faster then you got them out of the store, candy can be bought from a real store and then it would mean more because you didn't take to cheap unthoughtful way out. And some candies, the one the a person likes the most may not be at a dollar store. Inn fact there's a good chance of that. And weight loss supplements are simply insulting! I mean, if you can't be happy with the way her body is, then you obviously cannot care for her too much. That's just hurtful to anyone to be told to get weight loss products or have it suggested to them.! That is just so upsetting is and so wrong to me.! And PEOPLE sometimes love surprises, please stop saying it, talking like, or limiting it to one gender.

I believe you know my answer to the actually question, yes?

He cried when I took his Little Debbies and TV privileges away, and I well, damn. Let's go to the Dollar Store and you can buy me a little trinket and I will forgive you for being such an ******. How does someone manage to ask so many creepy annoying questions?

You mean does he ever take me to buy some cheap piece of clutter at the cheapest place in town?

Hon, you're the only one who thinks that's a thrill.

Now, the jewelry store would be an excellent place to start if he really wanted to turn me on....

And just so you don't think I'm just being greedy, Bath and Body works would suffice, also....yummmmm

I'm not so sure about that...I would rather him surprise me with something even if it's just something from the dollar store that he picked out for me.

My husband does it all the time it's the little things that really mean something to me. For example I'm a junk food junkie so when my husband goes to Dollar General or any store. He knows the things I like and he'll get them for me.It's when I'm having caffeine withdraw or a chocolate craving that it means the most.

I'd like it better if he surprised me with a gift. when my husband I were dating he would always pick up cute little things that you know only cost less than a dollar.
Not no more though.... But thats my problem :(

I would prefer not to get anything. Flowers die and candy gets eaten. I dont like my husband spending money on me that could go towards bills. I like the dollar store though. I wouldnt mind getting some cleaning supplies there.
