On Nov. 15 2006 I was at work In Pike County, AL. It was storming bad. There was warnings all over the place. At lunch time we all was in the office watching the weather, about the time a Tornado Warning for Pike was issued, at the same location of where we was. I started to go home. So I walked out the door and got to my truck. One of my friends started to talk to me. All the sudden the winds started to shift, we look over towards the South-West and saw the Tornado coming. I jump in my truck and went up the road to the store(bout 5 miles). My friend ran back into the office to warn the other 3 guys in there. When I return to the shop, it was Gone. The Tornado had blew away the shop, and the water tank across the road ( by the way, there are starting to rebuit it now). The guys had got down in a back room and was safe.
I was scared, thinking the Tornado was going to blow me off the road. But I know the guys in the office was more scared than me. here is a link ya'll can go to to see some pictures of it. the 8th pic down on left is the office. I got more pictures myself if anyone would like to see them, just email me.

Very scary! We lived near Omaha Ne. We knew there were tornado warnings but thought we had time to beat the storm across the river to Iowa, which was just a few miles away. When we looked back behind us I saw a part of the cloud hanging lower but didn't realize what it was. By the time we came close to the bridge across the MO River we heard tornado sirens. When we crossed I thought we were going to get blown off into the river below. My husband was driving and drove as fast as he could to get off the bridge. Across the trees were all bending over and limbs flying across the road. We kept driving to get out of the path hopefully. The Stop signs were almost to the ground from the wind, we were kind of in the country after we crossed the bridge. Thank god we made it through it all safely and to our destination but I hope to never come that close to one again!

I lived in the midwest during the April 3, 2004 great tornado outbreak, which is the single largest outbreak of tornados in U.S. history. We kept our eyes to the sky most of the day, watching these terrible black, swirling clouds streaking across the sky at 50 or 60 miles per hour! At varying times the day would turn as dark as night, sometimes even have a green tint to it, and the rains would fall as sheets, riding sideways on the whipping winds!
We had 2 inches of snow the next morning.

Hurricane Marilyn in St Thomas 1995 when my house blew apart around us at 11:35 pm.....in five minutes we went from being inside a 3 bedroom house to being outside on the cement floor in the middle of a Cat 3 hurricane with the house GONE.....we found parts of it the next day 200 yards up the hill behind us......
it was a VERY exciting evening!

I've never seen a scary storm, I like weather, storms aren't scary to me. It's a part of nature, which plays an important role that people don't seem to notice. I understand why people do become afraid, lightening strikes, hurricanes, tornadoes, people dying. I just don't get scared of them.

it somewhat is somewhat neat. I even have on no account heard something like that for the period of the previous. nicely, i'm able to inform you approximately some thing that almost got here approximately to us. My mom, sister and that i've got been working very overdue to fulfill somebody. as quickly as we ultimately have been given out of establishing, we left to go meet my dad for dinner. nicely, site visitors replace into relatively returned up for some reason. the reason for that replace right into a perilous automobile twist of destiny. the two autos have been totaled, the two drivers died. If we had left as quickly as we mentioned we've been, we could have been in that twist of destiny. yet yet returned replace into final Memorial Day weekend. We have been on I-10 going to a contest, and a few guy basically got here in our lane. thankfully my dad wasn't hugging the line, in the different case i wouldn't be right here. We ended up no longer getting hit, yet he replace into basically inches from hitting us. So confident, I even have had a pair reviews, and that i've got confidence that I even have somebody looking out for me. I basically don't be responsive to who it relatively is.
