Should your computer automattically recongnize the new video card?

Because I put in the 7900GS AGP and my computer has yet to recongnize. How do you make your computer recongnize it. Will the 7900GS AGP work with the dell dimension 4600?

You have to install the drivers from the CD that came with the card. Otherwise the computer will just see it as VGA-compatible,

Go into your Device Manager
Open up the topic of "Display Adapters"
Make sure your 7900GS Video card is listed
(It should be the only one listed)

If it is the only one listed, then Windows has recognized it. If it is NOT listed, then right click and un-install the one that is listed, and restart your computer.
