So, you don't have access to a washer/dryer? Well, you can try washing your things at home in the tub.. However, it would take forever and stains may not come out.. How about pack everything in trash bags and spring for a bus/cab ? Six miles is not that far away.... good luck..

Well I been there and done that and the only way to really get your cloths the cleanest is a washing machine. You could spend a few dollars to get a ride or something. You will be putting lots of elbow grease into washing and rinsing and washing and rinsing and on and on and on. If you have a wash board that's a big help. I did all that , for a few weeks until we got our new washer. I found the easiest way was using the industrial size mop bucket , you know one of those yellow ones work better than anything . The place to wring out the mop served as a good wringing out tool. Still nothing compares to the washing machine.

use the tub as others suggested but for agitation try a CLEAN bathroom plunger. pretend you are a pioneer! wring everything out ,rinse and repeat agitation. wring out and take outdoors to dry ,hoping you have somewhere to dry them . if you don't have detergent, use dish soap but only a few squirts as a little goes a long way.
