I think women want to marry the love of their life, but men are afraid to. They prefer getting married to women that seem i don't know...maternal?

The love of your life - that's a pretty tall statement. It seems more fitting that you could have more than just one in a lifetime? I mean, is the love of your life at 20 always going to be the one when you're say 60? We change so much, I'm not sure?
Why can't the love of their lives be maternal, too? I think instead of guys wanting to marry someone maternal (makes me think of their mom), I prefer to think they just like to be taken care of, which I guess we all do at the end of the day!

ever since my wife died and I found another lady, have been trying to convince her to marry me. sadly I don't think she ever will as She got what She wanted then it was " so long sucker, see you around. "
