Unfortunately for you a "more cultured man" isn't going to want someone else's cull. You're description of the kind of guys you've been meeting should tell you the root of your dilemma. If you lie down with dogs, you get fleas. Instead of talking about it, try raising your expectations and quit settling for what comes along. You, after all, are the one who meets the guy...

Stay out of the bars!!! I live in Flower Mound (close to you), I met my hubby online, and when we met in in person for the first time, it was at IHOP, I chose IHOP because they so not serve alcohol. I am not a teetotaler, but I rarely drink, and do not need an "alkie" any more than I need a hole in my head.
You have to present yourself like a lady (yes, I said a lady), and you will attract a gentleman. Be patient.

Well all I can say is mt right will find you when it's time. Taking out a personals ad online isn't a bad idea though. It might make it easier for a more "cultured" guy to find you.

Do you meet these people at cultural events? Maybe you need to attend events at colleges, museums, church, etc. What are your interests? Are there groups you can join and meet people? Book clubs?

Come up north to the New England states. I have plenty of classy, nice, well educated single friends I can introduce you to.
