Some people in Yahoo Answers have floated the idea of amending the constitution so that Arnold Schwarzennegger could run for president. Currently, as someone born in a foreign country (Austria) he can't. Woud you still support doing so if Arnold was a Muslim?

Just try to imagine the Governator intoning the Koran in his thick Austrian accent, while bowing on a carpet facing Mecca. I'd vote for him just to see that!

CATTLEDOG: I agree that a "celebrity-president" is something demeaning and depressing. However, the U.S. set the president for having one with Ronald Reagan. Still, I can't imagine an empty suit like Fred Thompson being elected--or more accurately, I don't want to imagine him being elected.

I personally don't want a celebrity-president... I don't care about his religion... I just hate the idea of electing a movie star; it seems cheap, like Americans are dazzled by glamour. This also includes Fred Thompson... I mean seriously he didn't even writ a piece of legislation while he was in Congress and people are acting like little girls at a Justin Timberlake concert over him.

****thanks for the additional comments... I was thinking of Reagan the whole time... now, Reagan was not a bad president but he was not as great as a lot of people make him out to be and I can't help but think that people were star-struck with him... he was very charismatic but he lacked depth in my opinion.

You have to be a natural born citizen to run.. so it will never be an issue...

Regardless of the religion he claims... he is still a supporter of the NWO, and is a NEO CON at heart.. So the anwer there would be NO...

I wouldn't support him under ANY circumstances! He's a RINO (Republican In Name Only!) and belongs in the Democrat Party. His stands on most issues are pure LIBERALISM with the exception of a very few economic matters. My boy is FRED THOMPSON! RUN, FRED, RUN!!!!!!!!!
