There's been big-screen, big-budget re-makes of "The Beverly Hillbillies," "The Brady Bunch," and "The Dukes of Hazzard" - shows that most of us were perfectly happy to see retired, and had absolutely nothing to gain from subsequent advances in special effects or filming techniques; and "The Six Million Dollar Man" - a show most of us felt was cancelled long before its time, and which just screams to be re-made with modern special effects - is still sitting on the shelf?
I suppose that this may not be such a bad thing. The fact that the Jim Carrey and Chris Rock projects never got off the ground seems to indicate that someone actually had enough common sense to recongnize a horrible plan for the execution of a film BEFORE it was released - the same guy who WASN'T doing his job during the first Star Trek movie or the 1976 King Kong release.

...a couple of years ago, if I recall correctly, actor & comedian Jim Carrey was attached to do a comically-inclined take on Steve Austin, The Six Million Dollar Man; nothing has developed, so far....
...in the advent of "The Bionic Woman" being reconcieved on television, could out beloved Bionic Man be too far behind???
...stay tuned!!!

hmmm.... i have reservations about bionic woman being a success, time will tell, mainly because the title character is none other than Zoe Slater from Eastenders???? strange choice, but we shall see when it comes out.
as for 6 million dollar man, lets hope they dont do another cheesy remake like such rubbish films as the dukes of hazzard, starsky and hutch, etc.

I won't be surprise if they did. If the new Bionic Woman is a success, they might do it. :)
