In the voiceover business one has to be ready for auditions at all times. However, I have to support my family until i start making money in voiceovers.I have one of the best sounding voices out their, but i am having a hard time getting this going. Does anybody have any suggestions?

You're right, the business is hard to get into, especially if you have a family to support. The work will be sparse and random, so pick a job that will get you the most money for the fewest hours: i.e. waiting tables or bar tending. This is how my parents got by as actors when I was young. Another bonus about service jobs is you can call in and find someone to take your shift on a moment's notice, unlike your standard 9-5. That way, you can be available for auditions and such, but you'll still have a dependable form of income.

99 cent store, Wal-Mart, K-mart, Sears, Macy's, SonicBurger, McDonalds, Burger King.

Don't worry, as a beginner you will NOT get much voiceover work, if you get any! The work goes to the voiceover actors that have many years of voiceover experience.

Most actors do temp or restaurant work.

Do you have a voiceover agent and a voice reel?
