3x + 11 = 5x + 15
-2x - 4
x = -2

Make both sides a fraction. So on the left you have 3x + 11 over 5. On the right x + 3 over 1. Multiply diagonally and get
3x + 11 = 5x + 15
-4 = 2x
x = -2

(3x+11)/5=x+3-----
x= -2
(3)*(-2)+11=5/5=1=-2+3=1 1=1
