Because it does actually take money to win a campaign. What they don't make a big deal about is the candidates themselves. They don't cover why they are running or what issues are important to them. This race I believe will be different because already John McCain is in debt and Ron Paul has passed him in fundraising. McCain's campaign was bloated and collapsed under it's own weight. Think of how hard it will be for Guliani and Romney to stay afloat. Ron Paul's campaign is very streamlined and is solidly planted in the grassroots. He doesn't need to raise as much money because he doesn't spend as much. Ron Paul hasn't even started to peak yet. It probably won't happen until next year.
