I suppose I'm a redneck then, because yes, I still have cassette tapes, and video tapes, and a cassette player/recorder, VCR, and some vinyl records -- my parents still have a couple of 8-tracks (I think)

Yes...I do: I only started buying cd's & dvd's about 3 or 4 years ago, but I collected movies & music long before then, so now I've got hundreds of video tapes & music tapes that I don't know what to do with, and I won't throw them out (at least, not until I've replaced all of them...)
: )

in case you particularly need to checklist cassette tapes then you certainly desire a cassette recorder. even nevertheless, you're saying that to procure CDs and tapes which you used. that means which you have a cassette participant - and that i've got under no circumstances come for the era of a participant which could no longer additionally checklist. If i'm unsuitable or have misinterpreted what you're saying then you certainly would desire to acquire one. you will no longer locate every physique who shares new ones to any extent further; in certainty i do no longer think of every physique makes them now. you are able to desire to locate 2d hand ones interior the branch shops yet you will actually locate them on eBay. lots of the manufacturers produced machines which would be completely sufficient on your purpose, even nevertheless it could have a microphone enter - no longer all of them do. don't be tempted to purchase a recording Walkman. apart from under one or 2 fashions (which even now are very costly) all of them have in-outfitted microphones and, it particularly is the nasty bit, they use compression whilst recording. Compression without delay adjusts the recording point to make it extra or much less consistent regardless of huge variations in point which the microphone "hears". this means that, on playback, for the time of speech pauses the history noise will improve very quite and irritatingly. you have possibly heard it many circumstances on the voice recordings which you pay attention on radio or t.v. you are able to desire to desire to contemplate recording each thing you desire to c.d. as a replace of to cassette tape, as stated by potential of yet another correspondent. nicely, you have some thing to think of roughly now. If i'd be of better help you are able to deliver a message and that i'll do my suitable to purpose.

Yeah, I can't believe I still have them. Let's see... I have Wham!, Menudo (remember them?), Madonna, Culture Club, Cheap Trick, Cyndi Lauper, Air Supply, Journey, and tons of 80s hair bands. I also have Elvis 8-track cassettes. I'm just hanging on to them to show my kids when they get older. It's a part of history after all. : )
