I had a fish for over a year, that died this past week. He was a blue male guppy. I am getting a new fish to go in my aquarium this coming week, and was wondering is there anything, besides fish, that can go in there? It's a 5 gallon filtered aquarium with freshwater. I love having fish, and was wondering if there was anything else that could go in there?

and ghost shrimp.

You could fit 1-2 frogs, a few ghost shrimp and still have room for a betta or a male guppy.

African dwarf frogs can go in with fish, just make sure they are not African clawed frogs which get very large and aggressive ,they would get to big for your tank and eat an fish you have.Betta's are also nice in a 5 gallon tank.
