My husband does, and my children for the most part. The rest of society does not. I use that to my advantage by showing appreciation 90% of the time hoping someone will ironically enough appreciate it enough to pay it forward to someone else.

Yo yo yo! No, they don't really appreciate me much. My sense of humor is maybe not the kind most people would appreciate. At least not this alter-ego of mine. It makes me a little sad. Word.

Certain people appreciate me.
Others don't or refuse to understand me.
The ones who appreciate me understand that I can listen, I'm interested in what they say and how they feel and do care about them.
But, you can give so much and then you need to be heard, understood and cared about.

Some people appreciate you but others don't. Some might not like you but others will like you. Some don't know you to appreciate you or me or anybody else.But others know you to appreicate you or me or anybody else.
