Why is it that vegetarians push their beliefs on everyone else?

Question

Not necessarily all vegetarians and vegans, but I have come across a lot of them that have always told me that eating meat or animal products is wrong and they list all the "health risks" associated with it. I have no problem with people being vegetarians or vegans, but what I do have a problem with is them telling me that I am wrong for not thinking like them. Why is it that the people that I am talking about have such a hard time realizing that people are entitled to different beliefs?

I love eating cows and pigs, that's why God put them here! If some people believe that eating them is bad, I say great more for us meat eaters!

don't get me all started. i'm an ex veggie, and that i do get slightly aggravated via the fake wellbeing claims they make in an attempt to transform human beings. lots of the terrific merchandising Veggie books like 'The China learn' have some outright lies.this actual e book very intently keep away from the priority that the vegetable protein had a extra physically powerful affiliation with maximum cancers than the the beef did. Well I am a vegetarian I have never ever did that unless they asked me something about vegetarian other wise than I never talk about vegetarian.I don't know I call them overrated vegetarian and vegans.I think I don't need to push my beliefs on any one unless asked.I have no clue why but I think it's dumb to force ur beliefs on any one unless asked

Seems like the same reason as Christians or Jehovah's witnesses or any other sec not the vegetarians are a sec but there are power in numbers and if they get more members the more power they have, politically,or just culturally.

i give you credit for saying that not all vegans et all try to force their beliefs on the carnivorous kind. i personally think that vegetarians and vegans feel so strongly about their vegetable consumption that they feel like its their duty to get rid of the butchering industry. a simple answer for that is that they are incapable of seeing both side of the food chain and are really never going to get around to it. i suggest that you speak up to these people who try to steal your steak before you can smell it. try telling them that you totally respect their choice and that you would like it if they would respect yours also. people who try to force something that you dont believe in are not a good type of person to be around with. if they respect your feelings about food choice then they will stop badgering you.

With many, it is not only a health choice, but a moral and political stance as well. I once dated an ovo-lacto, and she made me a turkey for thanksgiving. Some are just stupid. Kind of like democrats.
