Silvergirl: Prior to my marriage I only saw my husbands mother 2x's as they did not have a relationship. Nor did she ever raise him or act like a mother unless she needed something. My husband wants nothing to do with his mother and when she comes over he either leaves or goes to bed and I am stuck with her drama. She has already caused 1 son to divorce. In additon to not taking a medication for her mental problems so Please I would not wish this life on you. I am very sorry your mother in law is ill. Please don't judge what you don't understand.

Interested in what? Complaining about something that wouldn't change for most of you no matter how much you complain? That you just can't realize that that is someone's mother? That she's always going to be a part of his life? Do you even realize that no matter how bad she is, you had a choice to not put up with any of it by simply not marrying the guy if she was that bad? Plot against her and destroy a mother-son relationship? What's your group gonna be about? See, I'm highly interested, because I'm getting married in three months and my future mother in law is in the final stages of cancer, so she won't be there. My only wish is to have her there. So count your blessings.

I could have greatly used such a group at one time, but my MIL enticed my now-ex to leave his family by offering him a job, a house, a divorce lawyer, a car, and a girlfriend who works for her. You would do a world of good by establishing such a group. Daughters-in-law, Unite!
