That is never acceptable. What is acceptable is filling a paper bag with dog poop, setting it on fire and trowing in on your neighbor's front porch. Then, you sit back and watch then come out and try to stomp it out. That would be proper etiquette.

When they're jerks....if they play their music loud in the wee hours of the morning, if they or their friends disrespect your property or your privacy....you know! If they breach normal "neighborly" etiquette.
Oh - and don't set their mat on fire. That's too easy. Light a paper bag of dog poo and put it on top of the mat. That's much funnier. :-)
