You have a few options here...
-You can try selling it on eBay, however you most likely won't get the full amount, plus you'll have to pay eBay's fees, but at least you'll get it in cash.
-Try looking for websites where you sell or swap your card. Again, you may not get the full amount if you sell it , but you can often do the swaps for free. Try cardavenue.com or other similar sites.
-Ask around to your friends, co-workers and neigbors and see if they want to buy or trade, or try an online classified site like craigslist.com. Who knows, someone you know might want it.
-And of course you can always re-gift to someone else. Just be careful so the person who gave it to you doesn't find out!

There are a few websites out there that you can actually swap a gift card you don't with another person that has one you want. there are also a few websites that will buy your gift card. I recommend doing like a google search for such websites.

In most states, it will expire. You might check Craig's List or Freecycle to see if someone will trade you for another gift cert in your area.

don't think you can exchange them but maybe you could give it as a gift to someone who lives close to the restaurant. call the restaurant and ask them

Try selling it on eBay! I have seen gift cards and even coupons on there. It is worth a shot. What do you have to lose?

My first thought was to try to sell it on ebay or to a friend that goes to or lives close to this restaurant.
