The only way to be SURE a Trojan is removed is to re-format the computer.

Insert your Windows XP disk and boot from the disk. NOTE: you may need to go into the BIOS and set the boot order to boot from CD before the Hard Drive. Then follow the on screen instructions. When asked delete the partition the operating system is on. Then format that partition then install the operating system.

Anti-virus programs, may or may not be able to completely remove a Trojan from your computer.
You can TRY and remove the Trojan but by their very nature they are written so as to allow computers to be hijacked. Thus the virus writer usually includes some sort of back door so they can get into your computer even if the Trojan is removed.

Formatting and re-installing the OS is the ONLY sure way they are removed.

Depends if what type of install you're doing.

There are three types of installs: Upgrade, repair, and new.

An upgrade install basically takes you from an older OS to a newer one. Can disable, but not remove trojans.

Repair install is like plugging holes in a leaking tub. It may disable some trojans, but they are still present.

A new, or clean install, makes your Hard drive blank, THEN install your OS. If you have personal data, back it up, otherwise you won't have it. Install your OS, and install Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Windows Defender (XP and up olnly). Update all these programs, THEN scan your backup before returning it back to your system.
This WILL delete all trojans, provided that you restore no files that eithere were the trojan, or infected.

Yes, re-installing XP removes everything...viruses, trojans, your files...the lot!
You can use virus scanners/removers etc, but a clean install of the operating System will absolutely ensure that they are gone.

properly an consumer-friendly, kinda way is to circulate on your command instant style in fdisk and persist with the stairs neccessary to delete thepersistent, understand that doing this could erase each little thing !!!!!!!!!!!!! no longer something would be left you will could commence from SCRATCH be optimistic to envision to verify in case you have each and all of the neccesary disks to reinstall it or, an much less complicated way is to easily attempt to adhere the XP deploy disk into the computing device and run it, it is going to nonetheless erase each little thing yet in an much less complicated technique

ONLY if you wipe out the pc while doing it. Just reinstalling over top of the old one will NOT do it.

No, just a reinstall will not. Download.com has a prog that is free called ad-aware. Download and run it. it works. Be sure to update it after you download it.
