Lestoil will remove the sticky residue like magic. Hope you can locate it in your area; I find Lestoil to be unavailable in some places.

A hand razor blade scraper for most of the paper and WD-40 on a cloth to cut the residual paste and glue.
Follow up with Stoners Glass Cleaner (available at Wal Mart in the automotive section to get rid of the WD-40.

Jiffy box cutter with the blade in scraper mode. Or a product called a Widget which is a razor on a stick type of dealy-oh.

a fresh razorblade on a handle will get 90% of the sticker... then some rubbing alchohal on a rag will remove the glue left on the glass
