3 sqrt(8) + 2 sqrt(16)
= 3 * sqrt(4*2) + 2*4
= 3 sqrt(4) sqrt(2) + 8
= 3*2*sqrt(2) + 8
= 6 sqrt(2) + 8

Which is approximately equal to:
16.485

I will do the first one; you need to do the rest or you will not master this

3 sqrt 8 + 2 sqrt 16 =
3 sqrt 8 + 2 sqrt (2*8) =
3 sqrt 8 + 2 sqrt2 * sqrt 8 =
sqrt 8 (1 - 2 sqrt 2)

factor out the common parts just like any other algebra problem

3 sq rt(2*4)+2 sq rt(4^2)
or 3 sq rt(2*2^2)+2*4
or 3*2 sq rt(2)+8
or 8+6 sq rt(2) ans
