Sandwich. I still say sanGwich...my grandmother, being Italian, created many new words in her version of the English language...one of them being "Sangueecho" for sandwich...so I haven't quite gotten out of the habit of saying Sangwich...it's as close as come to ever winning that battle. LOL

as a trucker, I run into wierd pronounciations all over the place... In Boston.. they drive Caas... smoke cigaas.. basically losing the letter R off the end of their words. But.. again in my travels, I found that lost letter... it was in southern Alabama... in some ladies WARSH! (wash)

Most people pronounce "often" by saying "off-ten", however I remember hearing in school that the 't' is silent.
I say "off-n". It rhymes with "soften".
