Detroit is a very friendly town.

Go to a grocery store, stand in the health food aisle and look confused, ask the scads of women there to tell you the difference between soy powders and stand back while they argue.

Once the hair pulling is over take the loser out for a non-fat soy latte and you're half-way home.

If you're a girl, you can do the same thing in an auto parts or hardware store.

Both methods are better ways to meet single folks than hanging around smokey bars.

I do not consider Detroit as a great city to meet singles. I lived in the metropolitan area for over 20 years and I never once had a girlfriend or went on a romantic date.

It's not too bad. I live in Detroit and had no problems meeting people before I got married. You just have to know what parts of the city to stay clear of. It has a bad rep for it's crime, but if you know where to go it's a great city to meet new people in. There's alot of different people around up here. I moved here from a small town in PA and have met alot of great people.

sure, i might say its a sturdy area to fulfill singles. yet once you're very shy it quite is perplexing everywhere. There are some large nightlife venues in Detroit that get full of adolescents. probability is that in case you meet somebody right here they are rather sturdy, lots of the unemployed human beings have already left. Detroit is coming decrease back speedy little doubt approximately it.

There are plenty of singles. They have many clubs that have singles nights and there are a lot of clubs in Detroit and the metropolitan. A nice place is J.D.'s in Pontiac. They have a singles night every month.

I met my ex- husband at the 89 Grand Prix
there are a ton of people walking about Downtown Detroit
at Festivals in Hart Plaza, concerts, sporting events
you just got to be careful and use common sense ( as you would in any city )

I lived outside of Detroit in Farmington Hills and I'd have to say no, it's not a good place to meet singles. You have two kinds of people there - those who grew up there and have a tight circle with no interest in meeting anyone new or people like me, who were only there for a short time and don't want a reason to stay.

Well if you include the "greater" Detroit area, there are a zillion people there, so you can meet lots if you try.

Im going to say no.
In my experience compared to mexico, california and phoenix, all places where i have lived, there seems to be a shortage of women in the michigan area.
this means women who might not be as desireable in the other aforementioned places, can act like they are super models in suburban detroit.
i met a decent chick from toledo, but none actually from detriot metro, it seems like the decent ones are taken.
LA and Phoenix seem to have more of a selection to choose from.
my advice.....move
