I repotted my poinsetta in decemeber and it is growing great! However it is only growing leaves on one side, the side facing towards the the doors. I have the plant in an office and it gets plenty of light from the floursecent bulbs, but the plant is only growing leaves towards the real sunlight. Should I turn my plant around? Or leave it alone? I am kind of suprised it is still alive since Decemeber?

The plant needs real sunlight to survive. If you rotate it at fairly regular intervals (possibly 90 degrees every Friday before leaving when you water it for the weekend), you will find that you have a plant that is healthy from all angles

well..this is a common and easily solved problem with house plants.

I keep bonsai plants..which are the hardest to keep in indoor conditions. With bonsai..the general rule is that the plant must look presentable/real/beautiful from every way you look at it.

The same method I use can be used for yours.

What you do it turn the plant so that 3 quarters are showing leaves to the sun. after they have grown/turned..turn the plant round some more. If you do this with most plants there will be no problem.

hope I helped =P

oh you are lucky, you should take it and plant it outside, first put the pot outside nd find a location it likes at your home if possible.
when I was young every year outside my window there was this big bush that in winter would turn its leaves red.
I knew santa was coming soon when that happened (even though my brothers told me otherwise, bad brothers!) it was so pretty, id pull up my shade and open the window then lay in bed admiring the red leaves. Even though it was so cold having done that it didnt matter, i wanted beauty over comfort back then (well I still do).
so if you cannot do that, best bet is if it appears healthy leave it alone, it might be happy doing that.
Hey and thanks for bringing me back to a neat time in my life, made me smile! (and brought a tear to my eye)
