Who thinks Lynn Marie Latham should be fired from Y&R?

This isn't a rant, but it's a fact that ever since Ms. Latham came onto this once classy soap as head writer/executive producer, the show has turned into something unrecognizable by longtime viewers because she failed to do her homework on the history of this show and its characters. She is rewriting histories, doing character assassinations all the time, and has a habit of dropping storylines like there's a limited number of episodes to tell a story. Her crimes also include introducing uninteresting new characters (Amber, Cane, et al,) firing veteran actors and writers (Jack Smith, Kay Alden, Eileen Davidson, and most recently Adrianne Leon). I will give her props for creating Phick, but she's even toying with that couple with Nick's amnesia and remembering Sharon. She has made our favorite characters (Sharon, Nick, Daniel, Victoria, Nikki) detestable and viewers from the 70's and 80's are quitting watching because of her.

Thank you so much for this question. OMG I totally agree! Every since she has been there, there have been so many firings and shake ups it's so ridiculous. I don't think any of the original production staff is left from Bill Bell's era. The latest one to go was Melody Scott-Thompson's husband (Nikki) Edward Scott. I loved the work that Kay Alden was doing when she was there but low and behold as soon as Bill Bell is gone things are totally changed. They are totally disrespecting his legacy and style.

I agree!!! The writing is terrible and until I heard that there was a new head writer, I didn't know what was going on with Y&R and why it was so bad but now it makes sense. I don't like the direction the show is going in and judging by what most people are saying, if they don't get it together soon, they are gonna loose a lot of viewers.

I totally agree with you. You're right the only good thing she did was bring Nick & Phyllis together but that didn't even last long and they'll be broken up soon. Something needs to be done about all of this

Give her some time , down the road it always seems to work out . I think it has been the best its been , yes some Actors have gone and Actresses , but you will have this in soap land .
They have be switching alot I agree , but I've come to realize that some how it works out .I miss some of the Actors and Actresses too . We dont always hear the real reason as to why they left , only what they want us to know .

Very well written. The show is definitely lost it's appeal for the long time viewers. The story lines have no Constancy. Yes LM Latham should be let go

I used to feel like Genoa city was a real place and I knew the characters and liked to see them every day. Now all I think about is the actors, what must they be thinking, they must not like their job, Everyone is so replaceable, dispensable. It's all just acting to me now and I can't fall into the story anymore.

She needs to change the storyline, I am so tired of Cane and Amber, the show is not as good as it was. I just hope things get better soon.

I completely agree with you...I haven't watch the show ever since Nick came back...I dont like where the show is going at all....Its been a real disappointment lately......

Ok, I agree with what most of the petition said but how can they suggest getting rid of Sharon just because they hate her. Phyliss is just as despicable.
