It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).
The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.
Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

I tend to believe that there is something valid to the various end of the world scenarios. If you think about it, we are due for something big to happen. We are atleast 2000 years closer to the end of our age and the end of the world as we know it happening than when the Apostles asked Christ this question and Jesus answered them about 2000 years ago (Matthew, chapters 24 and 25).
Q: How do you think our world will end?
A: I believe that there may be some more traumatic events in store for us in the future, especially after witnessing the effects of Hurricane Katrina and the tidal wave in the Indian Ocean , however, I have faith that there shall be survivors, and we and our world shall survive. I think it's impossible to say how though - mega tsunami - earthquake - volcano, asteroid impact, gamma rays, virus, atomic warfare - who knows?
Q: Why is the media doing this to us?
A: If our world is in danger, it is the media's duty and purpose to report it, so that if there is a way that we can avoid disaster, the plan for avoiding disaster can be implemented. I would rather believe that than believe in conspiracy theories. This is just another way of looking at it, under a positive light, although it probably is a good idea to be aware of and address any foul play taking place.
You know what they say," Where there is an ending, there is also a new beginning." Whether we can determine what kind of new beginning we have or not, remains to be seen.

The time for the world to end has already been appointed, speculations by people are complete nonsense (especially if its a specific date they give)
At the turn of the 20th century, people were convinced that the world was going to end, because of the new milenia, or whatever, but here we are, 7 years later, and the world is still rotating, and people are still carrying on their lives as before.
No i dont believe it,
i already answered,
and the media is doing it because its their job, just like how they always talk about Lindsay Lohan or any other "celebrity" on the news, all it does is bring in more listeners, while its unimportant, immature nonsense

There was a religious group that believed the world would end at the turn of the century in the 1890’s. When it didn’t they changed the date. This is a questioned that has been asked through the ages. Yes, there are many terrible things in the world today but there has always been, wars, diseases, poverty etc. There are also many beautiful things in our world. It’s how you look at it. You have to live your life to the fullest and enjoy each moment. Don’t worry about something nobody knows the answer to. It’s all in God’s hands and we must trust his will, not ours. The media does this beacuse they can sell it to naive people and make lots of money.

OK , in the bible, it says that the Rapture will be the end of the World.
I personally think When God said He would never do it again, after the great flood, I think he meant that he would never kill off man kind. I honestly feel man will end up being the reason of complete extinction. However we can narrow it down to the most likable reason.
1. The Ozone can repair itself - No our atmosphere is fine.
2. Pollution clean up is getting more Vidal - Yes their is a possibility of dieing from Toxic, and other Bio-Hazards, but very unlikely it will get that bad n our life time.
3. CO2 build up will kill us in the near future. And it's partially our fault. CO2 cannot escape the atmosphere. So in other words we will fry to death, like Venus is.
In fact life is a sure miracle. If our planet's were not in the order that they are, life couldn't exsist. So be happy for the time we got left, and not the end that is sure to come in... oh say... another thousand or so years.

Dear, they've always been doing it since recorded history.
remember 2000 when they said all the computers were gonna crash and cause world chaos.
Only thing I would realy worry about is the earth megnetic field reversing. It has been know to happen time after time through out earths history as a natural cycle of earth and when it happens almost everthing on earth will die out. and the scary thing is.. it is due to happen in the very near future.

I have read that this year is special because something will happen, I don't know if the world is ending (even though it is said that what will end is evil, not the world) but something will happen, something that will change our lives, it could be another hard attack for Catholicism, what I know is that something really special is happenning
