Despite all my efforts to discorage this, she flatly refuses! (although at times she has agreed to read less taxing material ie romance novels...) Even though I have explained on a number of occassions that the female brain is less able to absorb the same level of complex knowledge than the male brain can. She doesn't seem to be listening! Can someone give me adivce on how I can persuade her to give up this unhealthy recreational pursuit?

This has got to be a wind-up. How can you possibly believe that the female brain is less able to absorb knowledge than a male one? (I'm a bloke). It seems to me that you should start reading to improve your brainpower, as it is very limited at the moment. It is not an unhealthy pursuit, it shows a level of intelligence way above yours.

My mates wife has a PHD and would batter you to death if she read this. How can you say that womens brains can't absorb complex knowledge? Theres enough doctors dentists lawyers etc that are women so how you can have this notion about women is beyond me. She isn't listening because she knows you are an idiot and is probably having s.e.x with a real man who understands her! Think on my friend...

The only way you are going to be able to communicate with her if you lower your intellectual capacity to her level. A 12-pack of beer or a few bottles of wine should do this. At that point you will be able to communicate much more effectively, and the best part is that when you wake up you will not remember a thing and it will seem like a miracle that she is finally doing the right thing.

Look at it this way: which is a more comforting thought, that she got creative bedroom ideas out of a book or that she learnt them somewhere else? Just go expand your own big male brain and let the girl have her fun.

Oh dear. Sounds like there is something seriously wrong with your girlfriend - she's a very rare type: the intelligent woman who will put up with controlling sexist idiot for no reason at all. No offense, but go back to your cloud. Women are the intellectual equals of men (although our brains function differently in a variety of interesting ways). If I were her, I'd dump you right away and get back to my reading. (If she is as smart as I think she is!)
