Insurance pays for disasters, not something that you can prevent. Not likely you could even buy insurance for bedbugs.

You could confirm the answers already given by having a chat with Citizen's Advice Bureau, but I'm afraid they will come up with the same answer. An infestation of bed bugs probably comes into the category of "an act of God" as would a plague of, say, spiders.

Some of the more expensive insurance policies will have 'Homeserve' cover. They will pay for a pest control company to carry out a bed bug riddance. Otherwise a bonfire is all I can suggest.

i vey much doubt if your insurance would cover that as you should be keeping your bed clean and aired.
