No. Only people inherently have rights.
Many animals should recieve some protection through the property rights of thier owners, though.
Of course, many societies have decided that it is morally wrong to, say, 'torture' or 'abuse' animals, and curtail the rights property rights of those who own animals accordingly. Can't say that I strongly disagree with that judgement.

They have the right to not be tormented for no reason.
As far as eating them goes, I am a strong proponent of meat, I'd go crazy if beef jerky didn't exist.
Eukodol is a Conservative dumb ****.
Liberals do not all advocate animal rights, I personally agree with liberals on many things and I own a rifle and I go deer hunting every November.

Humans are just another animal, no better no worse than any other animal. So if you don't treat the 4 legged furry type animals well than you should not expect to be treated well yourself. Society is judged by how well it treats children and animals.

Animals that are on the endangered species list are protected and one is not aloud to abuse domestic animals either. Most cities, counties, and states have severe punnishments for animal abuse.

All life, even trees, have inherent value.
Though, there are many people who are inherently evil and without conscience--figure it out.
And many of them are borderline retarded, that doesn't help,
take for example the person who posted next....

No. To have rights implies that one also has responsibilities and duties. That's why rights only apply to humans.

Animals have no rights because they are incapable of comprehending the responsibilities that come with those rights. SORT OF LIKE LIBERALS.
