Can anybody point me in the direction for getting specs for this motherboard, c51mcp51-6a61hm39c-00. Its in my vista Dimension e521 with a dual-core amd.

You would have more luck finding the specs for the motherboard by searching for the model number of your PC.
Dell does not publish much information about their motherboards on the net, most of the information is only available to their techs. Not that they are hiding it, its just that they have so many different motherboards that they do not put forth the effort to publish specs for all of them individually.

Go to the Dell site and enter your mfg. number.
(Sticker is on your case)
Specs for your system are available there.

Try: Start>Run>msinfo32
That should tell you everything you could possibly want to know at this stage!

i dont even know wat that code is. what do u need o know about ur mobo ?

PCIe x1: 1 Slot
PCIe x16 (Graphics): 1 Slots
u can get a new pci-e x16 graphics card.
